# Jina — no genuine unanswerable-query probe completed (Q48–Q52)

Direct read of every raw response file for the five unanswerable queries:

| query_id | file | http_status | error |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q48 | `jina/input-3/outputs/raw/search/Q48.json` | 402 | `HTTPError: 402 Client Error: Payment Required for url: https://s.jina.ai/` |
| Q49 | `jina/input-3/outputs/raw/search/Q49.json` | 402 | same |
| Q50 | `jina/input-3/outputs/raw/search/Q50.json` | 402 | same |
| Q51 | `jina/input-3/outputs/raw/search/Q51.json` | 402 | same |
| Q52 | `jina/input-3/outputs/raw/search/Q52.json` | 402 | same |

**All five unanswerable-query attempts failed with the same free-tier quota 402** documented elsewhere
for the ambiguity, stability, and extraction-quality criteria. Jina never got far enough into the
query set (it exhausted its quota at Q11) to reach the unanswerable block at all — Q48–Q52 sit after
every other failed block, so their failure is not a distinct finding, it's the same wall.

**Disposition: not scorable, permanently for this round.** There is no completed Jina response to a
genuinely unanswerable query, so there is no way to judge whether it would sensibly decline or
confidently return junk. This is a coverage gap identical in kind to Jina's stability/extraction/
ambiguity gaps — zero completed calls, not a thin or ambiguous sample. Resolvable only by re-running
Jina on a paid tier.
