Enterprise adds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance, a research mode, and on-premise deployment. Want to see the difference on your own query? The Search Arena runs the same request across TinyFish, Exa, Tavily, and Parallel and compares cost, speed, and evidence quality side by side.
Search then bills at $7 per 1,000 requests. The headline rate covers one endpoint. Costs can rise quickly depending on endpoint and result count, especially when combining Search, Contents, summaries, Deep Search, Monitors, or Agent runs. Agent runs are the hardest line to forecast with Exa. They range from $0.012 to $1.00 per run by effort, and contact enrichment bills separately on top. TinyFish is a good Exa alternative. With TinyFish, Search and Fetch are free on every plan.
If you’re planning on paying for Exa, here a few pricing nuances you should be aware of: Costs stack across endpoints. The effective cost is base Search plus results above 10 plus AI summaries per content type. The headline rate is a floor, not the bill. Per content type on Contents. Requesting multiple content types multiplies the $1 per 1,000 page charge.
Exa also serves from an index, so it can miss unindexed or blocked pages, and it does not operate pages or authenticate into gated systems. Search starts at $7 per 1,000 requests, about $0.007 each, for up to 10 results, with add-ons for extra results and AI summaries above that. TinyFish includes Search and Fetch free on every plan, pay-as-you-go included, so only the Agent and Browser layer draws credits.

FYI, if you want to take advantage of the $7500 EV tax credit but don’t want a Tesla or a Ford or whatever else qualifies, there is a loophole for leases.

Leased vehicles count as commercial/fleet vehicles for the dealership, which qualify for ANY EV AFAIK regardless of your income or where the battery was manufactured.

Almost all manufacturers will give this rebate to you if you lease in order to compete with the American EVs.

If you really prefer to buy, most dealers will allow you to buy out your lease early and you keep the $7500. But you may want to just keep it leased until the end of the term, because the $7500 effectively gets applied to the cost of the lease without affecting the residual… so you will essentially get a larger percentage discount, and then 3 years from now EV tech will have progressed quite a bit and you may want to trade it in for a new one.

This has probably been covered before but I couldn’t find a post about it recently… hopefully this is helpful for anyone new to EVs that are unaware of the loophole.

Pro tip: if you’re a Costco member, Costo often has sizeable rebates depending on the make and model. So check their website!

EDIT: To update with some info and clarifications from others:

SOME DEALERS/LESSORS MAY NOT PASS THE REBATE ON TO YOU. Or, they may make it look like they’re passing it on to you, but then try to screw you somewhere else like the money factor (interest rate) or markups/markdowns. Make sure you understand what the terms are before you sign anything.

LeaseHackr is a good resource for learning the ins and outs of lease terms like what money factor is, and they have a calculator where you can play around with the variables and see how they affect payments. You can also see deals from lease brokers on the forums, that have pre-negotiated deals that would be difficult to beat on your own.

TrueCar is a great resource to see what the typical markdowns ($ off MSRP) there are for specific makes and models in your area. Simply search for new car listings and they have an “estimated price” which factors in markdowns. This way you can make sure that you get a fair sale price IN ADDITION TO the rebates so that you know they’re not giving you the rebate only to screw you on markups (or lack of markdowns).

Edmund’s Lease Calculator is very useful for seeing what the typical money factor and residuals are on a particular make/model for the specific lease length and yearly mileage. I’ve found that this almost always reflects the real number you should expect. Make sure they’re not screwing you on that too.

      2. If the lessor does pass on the rebate to you, they may apply it to the initial sale price as a “capitalized cost reduction,” or they may apply it as a boost to the residual. If it’s the former, and the lessor allows you to buy out your lease early (gotta ask), then you keep the benefit of that $7500 if you buy out early. If it’s applied to the residual, then you need to wait until the end of the lease if you want the full benefit.

If there’s anything else that comes up I’ll try to add it too.

      3.

      Hey everyone :)

I am wondering what might be the cheapest way to get realtime AI answers based on google search.
Currently I am using the API of Perplexity with SONAR model to get precise realtime answers based on web-search. It does come with a cost of about $5 per 1000 calls and a bit extra.

Is there potentially other ways to reduce the costs? Are there other LLM's or models that are cheaper?

I thought about using a SERP API and then combine it with ChatGPT or whatever, but it doesn't really seem to be cheaper + its slower and worse results.

      Thanks!
Kind Regards

",

"Exa is a closed neural index behind a cloud API; enterprise options include Zero Data Retention and HIPAA mode but everything remains Exa-hosted. If you need a cost ceiling or on-prem deployment, you need an open-core engine: fastCRW's AGPL-3.0 binary self-hosts for free and meters its cloud at a flat 2 credits per search, 1 per page. ... Run a live request in the playground — no signup required. Or grab a free API key with 1000 credits, no credit card.",
"If you use Agent in production, pin an effort mode and instrument per-request cost from day one. Websets, Exa's list-building product, does not draw from API pay-as-you-go. It has its own plans: Free (1,000 credits, capped features), Core at $49/month for 8,000 credits, Pro at $449/month for 100,000 credits, Enterprise custom.",
"For comparison, fastCRW's free tier is a one-time 1000 credits with no card required, plus an unlimited free path if you self-host the engine. Exa's recurring monthly credit is the more generous hosted allowance for pure prototyping; fastCRW's is the one where the ceiling is your own server rather than a monthly grant. The Contents endpoint charges $1 per 1,000 pages per content type. Request text and highlights for the same page and you are billed twice; add summaries and it is three times.",
"At $1 per 1,000 extra results, a 30-result search effectively bills $7 + $20 = $27 per 1,000 requests, nearly four times the headline rate. Larger per-request result counts run into Enterprise-only territory: Exa's docs gate the highest limits (up to 1,000 results per search) behind "contact sales"."

"Every TinyFish plan includes model inference, the stealth browser, anti-bot, agent proxy, Vault and Profiles, and the SDKs, CLI, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Enterprise adds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance, a research mode, and on-premise deployment. Want to see the difference on your own query? The Search Arena runs the same request across TinyFish, Exa, Tavily, and Parallel and compares cost, speed, and evidence quality side by side.",
"Search then bills at $7 per 1,000 requests. With TinyFish, Search and Fetch are free on every plan.",
"If you’re planning on paying for Exa, here a few pricing nuances you should be aware of: Costs stack across endpoints. The effective cost is base Search plus results above 10 plus AI summaries per content type. The headline rate is a floor, not the bill. Per content type on Contents. Requesting multiple content types multiplies the $1 per 1,000 page charge.",
"Exa also serves from an index, so it can miss unindexed or blocked pages, and it does not operate pages or authenticate into gated systems. Search starts at $7 per 1,000 requests, about $0.007 each, for up to 10 results, with add-ons for extra results and AI summaries above that. TinyFish includes Search and Fetch free on every plan, pay-as-you-go included, so only the Agent and Browser layer draws credits."
